4th Grade Homework Schedule
Dear Parents – here is a general idea
of what your child should be working on as homework during the week. Fridays are generally quiz day. We will have a weekly math quiz, Greek & Latin quiz, dictation test and the grammar test. Other
tests and quizzes will occur periodically during the week, but I try to have them on Friday if possible.

Words (Spelling) Students are responsible for studying their Dictation
Words at home every week. Class time
will not be spent learning or practicing these words. Students must write each word 5 times and the sentences 1 time, due Friday.
~ Greek
& Latin Students will be taking a quiz over every 10 Greek and Latin
roots. Students will take the test until
they pass with 100% or we reach the introduction of the next 10 roots. At that point they will move on to the next
quiz over the next 10 roots.
~Math
Students will generally receive a math homework packet on Monday to be
completed and returned on Friday of each week.
They may periodically have other assignments to finish at home that they
did not complete in class.
- 4th graders are expected to KNOW their multiplication facts, please make sure time is spent at home on these so your student does not fall behind.
- 4th graders are expected to KNOW how to do simple division with remainders, please make sure time is spent at home working on this skill if your child is struggling.
~Essays
Most of the essay work will be done in class, but if students have not
completed it in class they will need to do so at home. It is a good idea to check with them nightly
on their essay progress.
If you have any questions or
concerns about the above information, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Mrs.
Robbins
